Brescia, Italy | Rotterdam, The Netherlands | January 14, 2021
Today, the Department of Medical and Surgical Specialties, Radiological Sciences, and Public Health of the University of Brescia announced that they have begun using AI powered Quantib® ND Plus radiology software from the leading AI provider Quantib. Quantib supports the University of Brescia, in line with their commitment to quality and to continue improving patient care, by installing Quantib® ND Plus, the state-of-the-art software for quantification and tracking of changes in the brain related to multiple sclerosis and different types of dementia such as Alzheimer’s disease.
“We embraced the usage of Quantib® ND Plus due to an increasing demand for more objective and quantitative evidence of brain atrophy in the clinical management of neurodegenerative disorders. As neuroradiologists, we needed a tool for the identification and quantification of white matter lesions during the follow-up of our patients with the possibility to actively interact with the software in order to obtain reliable and clinically meaningful information”, said Roberto Gasparotti, the full professor of Neuroradiology of the Department of Medical and Surgical Specialties, Radiological Sciences, and Public Health of the University of Brescia.
Quantib® ND Plus offers a software package including modules to measure brain atrophy and track the development of white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) over time. The software is CE marked and FDA cleared and available throughout Europe and USA for specialists to use in their diagnosis process.
“We are proud to partner with the University of Brescia and help them strengthen their commitment to quality, in the face of ever-increasing demands for healthcare services” said Rudolf Scholte, Founder and COO of Quantib. “We are dedicated to continuing to innovate and develop AI tools to impact radiologists' work in meaningful ways.”
